Its been another interesting year! Northern Ireland Wedding Photographer

Blog , December 24, 2014

Its been another interesting year. Some photographic projects that I was able to be a part of certainly made it interesting.  This year was also another steady year for wedding and family photography. With a bit more of an increase in the latter. It was great to share in so many stories of everyday families. Some stories this year were really beautiful. Unfortunately because of the circumstances I am unable to share them on here. But I am glad to have been involved. With all the greatest intentions I have meant to keep up with the work on here.

I don’t think I have posted any wedding blogs in over a year. Sorting out clients has always been my priority. Getting exactly what they want has always been important to me. But like so many other people, life is just really busy. My wife was off for a few days at the start of the year and she always wondered why I took so long posting things. When she sat beside me for a morning, realised all the time you actually get between the school runs and a little lunch and family calling in. Then how long to size the work and get it ready for the website and then upload it and then….. Well she had a new found appreciation for my work. Well a little appreciation anyway. I’ve always noticed that those photographers with small kids seem a little less consistent with the blogs and posts of weddings. I was also looking at rebranding and changing the website a little but that may be for this year.

And again this had been a year to really photograph the kids and get to places. I started a project with my daughter in July to photograph her in the same place as often as we are here. It ran well until October when we headed to London for a little holiday. It has picked up a little as has her interest in photography. It will not be too long until she is dragged along to help somewhere! So with kids, and all the other little bits and pieces including the wedding band (The Fabulous Al Bennett Band) there doesn’t seem to be a lot of time left to do the promotional side of things.

A few things have changed on the wedding front. I have developed two prices, one for a slightly simpler approach to the wedding day, the other for a more comprehensive approach. You can see them on the wedding pricing page on the website. There is also really smart and sleek album which I will be showing at the fayres and to customers over the next year. While a little more expensive the finish is exquisite.

Finally to finish a few photos from the past year.
